This documentation is for ClassLink Administrators regarding the ClassLink Management Console (CMC), which is used to configure your institution’s LaunchPad experience. In this article, you will learn how to set up (Kuder) Navigator SAML.
First things first! Access your SAML console page from the ClassLink Management Console (CMC) by clicking Single Sign-On, then select SAML Console.
STEP 1: Copy Template
After you log in to the SAML Console, click COPY EXISTING from the top of the navigation menu to display a list of pre-configured SAML connections. Search for and copy the Navigator template from the library.
STEP 2: Copy IDP Metadata URL
You will now see the Navigator SAML connector in your list of applications. Search for Navigator, click the clipboard icon to copy the IDP Metadata URL, and provide the URL to your Kuder integration engineer.
✔️ Kuder will use the URL, which is unique to your school system, to establish a trust with ClassLink. Once trust has been established, Kuder will provide you with metadata text.
⚠️ Once you receive your district-specific metadata information, continue with the remaining steps.
STEP 3: Edit App
To enter Kuder’s metadata, click the three dots next to the Navigator app in the SAML Console and select Edit.
STEP 4: Connect to Third-Party Vendor
Paste the METADATA provided by Kuder to replace the CHANGEME portion of the metadata text in the template box, then scroll to the bottom of the page and click Update.
✔️ Be sure to leave the LOGIN URL field blank.
Step 5: Finalize App Configuration
Click the drop-down arrow and select Copy IDP Initiate Login URL. This is the URL you'll deploy to students and staff after you add and assign the app.
Additional Notes
Once the app is configured in the SAML Console, you can add and assign the app in your CMC. Visit Adding and Assigning SAML Apps to learn how to add and assign your new app in the CMC.
