Students: How to Use Grad Plan

Grad Plan is a feature that allows educators to outline what tasks a student should complete to meet their state graduation requirements.

What are Grad Plans?

Grad Plans, frequently named to match the state requirement legislation (Ex: Iowa ICAP), are a feature that allow district or school admins to assign tasks to students. These tasks typically adhere to state guidelines regarding College and Career Readiness that are required for students to graduate.

These tasks can be assigned by grade level, task type or given a before graduation designation. System tasks can not be checked off; they will be checked off automatically when the assigned task has been completed. Custom tasks are self-reported by the student and may require extra documentation if required by the district.

How to View Assigned Tasks on the Grad Plan

  1. Log in to Kuder Navigator

  2. Select Home from the left-hand menu

  3. Scroll down to the Quick Links section

  4. Select Update Your Grad Plan

  5. Find your current grade or before graduation and work through any incomplete tasks

    1. Hover your mouse above the task circle to find out if it is self-reported or checked off automatically by the system. A red circle with a cross through it means that it is related to a task that must be completed in the system. If the white hand appears, it is a self reported task.

How to Submit Grad Plan for Review

After tasks have been finalized, a student can submit their grad plan to be signed by a parent and a school administrator.

  1. Log in to Kuder Navigator

  2. Select Home from the left-hand menu

  3. Scroll down to the Quick Links section

  4. Select Update Your Grad Plan

  5. Select Actions from the top right-hand side of the grad plan

  6. Select Submit for Review

  7. A confirmation will appear at the top of the page letting you know that it has been successfully submitted for review.
