Educators: How to Interpret the OK ICAP report

Get to know the requirements in the Oklahoma ICAP report and how OKCareerGuide helps you report to meet state guidelines.

Following the launch of the enhanced ICAP configuration in late 2023, it is important to note that all historical student activities remain seamlessly integrated into your ICAP report. Historical self-reported details related to work-based learning and college entrance exam activities may not be immediately visible in student profiles. These activities are still fully incorporated into your comprehensive ICAP report.

Annual ICAP Activities

Students are expected to complete these activities once per academic year beginning in 9th grade and ending in 12th grade totaling four instances per activity. In the OK ICAP Report, student completion of these activities is tracked in the following fields:

FIELD/TERM

DESCRIPTION

Career Assessments

Running total of career assessments completed by the student during their high school career. A value of 4 at the time of graduation satisfies this requirement.

My Goal + Options After HS

Running total of modifications made to student goal(s) during their high school career with an additional single credit for completing the Options After High School section in OKCG. A value of 4 or more in this column at the time of graduation satisfies the requirements for the Goals ICAP requirement.

Education Plan

Running total of updates made to the student’s education plan(s) during their high school career. A value of 4 or more in this column at the time of graduation satisfies the requirements for the Education Plan ICAP requirement.

Annual ICAP Activity Recovery

If a student has failed to complete each of these activities at least once per academic year, they can recover activity for Assessments, My Goal + Options After HS, and Education Plan from previous years up to the required running total allowed for each grade level. Students will not receive credit for activities completed beyond the required running total at each grade level. The maximum recoverable amount by grade for each annual ICAP activity is shown below:

Single Completion ICAP Activities:

Students are expected to complete each of the following activities once during their high school career:

WBL Activities

Completed

This field counts total work-based learning activities completed by the student. To be counted, a student can either complete a WBL Opportunity in Kuder Connect 2 Business or record an activity on ICAP cards. This can include historical OKCG ICAP cards and any OKCG ICAP cards configured for your school with the

name ‘WBL’ or ‘Work Based Learning’.

If this value is greater than or equal to 1, the student has satisfied their Work-Based Learning ICAP

requirement

Entrance Exam

This field indicates whether the student has self-reported completion of the ACT and/or SAT. This can be recorded in the External Assessment section or by completing the tasks Completed SAT and/or Completed ACT in the Completed the SAT/ACT card within OKCG ICAP.

A status of “Reported” in this field satisfies the College Entrance Exam ICAP requirement.
