Occupations in Atlas
Kuder Atlas offers career exploration tools available to prepare students for the world of work. To begin exploring occupations within Atlas, follow the instructions below.
Exploring Occupations
To begin exploring occupations, navigate to the menu available on the home page and click on the Explore Occupations button.
Next, you can choose to explore by Title, by Assessment Results, by Career Areas, or
by Industry.
Selecting one of these options will allow you to view occupations in different ways. Below are the steps for each option of exploring occupations.
Explore Occupations Suggested by Assessment Results
1. To view occupations suggested by assessment results, select the “By Assessment Results” option under the “Explore Occupations” tab in the left-hand menu.
2. From this page you can view a list of suggested occupations based on your completed assessments. Clicking on one of these occupations will take you to the Occupation Details page where you can explore descriptions of that occupation, common job titles, and related industries.
Explore Occupations by Title
1. To view occupations by Title, select the “Title” option under the “Explore Occupations” tab in the left-hand menu.
2. From this page you can type in the name of an occupation in the “Occupation” field, as well as filter by Career Areas and Qualification Level
3. You can then click on the Details button for any of the occupation results to view the Occupation Overview page for the occupation you have selected.
Explore Occupations by Career Areas
1. To view occupations by Career Area, select the “Career Areas” option under the “Explore Occupations” tab in the left-hand menu.
2. From this page you can view a list of Career Areas along with their description, Holland Characteristics, and examples of related occupations.
3. You can also click on the Occupations button to take you a list of occupations filtered to the specific Career Area you have selected.
Explore Occupations by Industry
1. To view occupations by Industries, select the “Industry” option under the “Explore Occupations” tab in the left-hand menu.
2. From this page you can view a list of Industries to explore. Clicking on the Details button will take you do the overview page for the selected industry which includes a description and related occupations to the Industry you have selected.
