Learn how to manually track your direct college applications in your Navigator account.

How to Add a New Direct College Application

It can be useful for a student to manually track direct college applications in their Navigator account if they do not have access to Common App or Parchment. This can also be used to keep track of college applications for colleges that do not accept Common App or Parchment.

Note: All fields, except the name of the college, can be edited after-the-fact to allow for students to make incremental status updates to the progress of their College Application.

  1. Log in to Kuder Navigator

  2. Select Plan for Education from the Left-Hand menu

  3. Select College Applications from the dropdown menu

  4. Navigate down to Direct Applications

  5. Select Add an Application

  6. Enter Required Application Information

    1. Search for School Name

      1. Type at least 5 letters for selections to appear

    2. Select Application Type

      1. Early Decision

      2. Early Action

      3. Regular Decision

      4. Restrictive Early Action

      5. Rolling Admission

      6. Early Admission (juniors only)

      7. Early Decision II

      8. Early Action II

    3. Select Application Deadline

    4. Select Status

      1. In Progress

      2. Completed - Need Final Report

      3. Completed - Need Final Transcript

      4. Completed

    5. Select Decision

      1. Attending

      2. Not Attending

      3. Undecided

    6. Select if ACT was Sent

      1. Not Required

      2. No

      3. Yes

    7. Select if SAT was Sent

      1. Not Required

      2. No

      3. Yes

    8. Select the number of Recommendations Required

      1. 0-10

    9. Select Transcript Sent Date (Optional)

      1. Leave blank if transcript has not yet been sent

    10. Select if Letters of Recommendation were sent

      1. Yes

      2. No

  7. Select Create Application


How to Update a Direct College Application

All fields, except the name of the college, can be edited after-the-fact to allow for students to make incremental status updates to the progress of their direct college application.

  1. Log in to Kuder Navigator

  2. Select Plan for Education from the Left-Hand menu

  3. Select College Applications from the dropdown menu

  4. Navigate down to Direct Applications

  5. Select the pen icon in the Actions column next to a direct application

  6. Update Application Information

    1. Select Application Type

      1. Early Decision

      2. Early Action

      3. Regular Decision

      4. Restrictive Early Action

      5. Rolling Admission

      6. Early Admission (juniors only)

      7. Early Decision II

      8. Early Action II

    2. Select Application Deadline

    3. Select Status

      1. In Progress

      2. Completed - Need Final Report

      3. Completed - Need Final Transcript

      4. Completed

    4. Select Decision

      1. Attending

      2. Not Attending

      3. Undecided

    5. Select if ACT was Sent

      1. Not Required

      2. No

      3. Yes

    6. Select if SAT was Sent

      1. Not Required

      2. No

      3. Yes

    7. Select the number of Recommendations Required

      1. 0-10

    8. Select Transcript Sent Date (Optional)

  7. Select Update Application


How to Delete a Direct College Application

  1. Log in to Kuder Navigator

  2. Select Plan for Education from the Left-Hand menu

  3. Select College Applications from the dropdown menu

  4. Navigate down to Direct Applications

  5. Select the trash icon in the Actions column next to a direct application

  6. Select Delete
